You are in the PTomic documentation site. The documentation has no formal existence: any Player in PTomic may use this site to maintain records of the game. Feel free to have a wander around. *gestures in the direction of the SideBar*
PTomic is a game of Nomic that began on 25/11/06 18:27 GMT in the Paradise Towers section of the Doctor Who forum.
"The primary activity of Nomic is proposing changes in the rules, debating the wisdom of changing them in that way, voting on the changes, deciding what can and cannot be done afterwards, and doing it. Even this core of the game, of course, can be changed." (Peter Suber, The Paradox of Self-Amendment, Appendix 3, p. 362)
PTomic, played in the PTomic Thread, consists of a series of Games, each of which consists of a series of Moves. In each Move, a Proposal (a proposed change to the Rules) is selected to be voted on as soon as a Proposal is available; the Player that proposed it then announces the start of the Referendum; the Players vote on it within a couple of days; then a new Move begins. A new Game begins after someone wins a Game.
Various things affect how many Oranges you have. Oranges allow you to move on the Board. There is currently no way to win PTomic.
To play PTomic, it would probably be worth knowing some of the things a Player can do in the game. To play more effectively, you might also want to know about some of the things that happen automatically in the game. If, as any Player may, you want to help document events other than your own actions (ask in the Thread for the wiki editing-password), you'd certainly want to know what things happen automatically, and in what order they happen.
Yes, you may. You can join at any time by asking to join in the PTomic Thread. Perhaps you could think of a new winning criterion?
